Mementos PART I

The tie and the card were given by a man I liked nearly 15 years ago. I put them in my Mementos Box, and I somtimes take the box out of a desk drawer and check each piece of my mementos one by one. Every time I touch the tie, feel the soft silk, and reread thoe notes in the card, a bitter-sweet feeling springs out from the deep of my heart. It was heart-wrenching; but after those years, memories of some moments become colourful sparklings that jewel my life.

The Voice of Music PART I

There are few fabulous actresses whose voices are voices of music. Every time I listen to them speaking, I am always enchanted and wish I would be able to speak as they do when I speak English. They are Julie Andrews, Emma Thompsons, and Cate Blanchett.

Julie Andrews

Julie and Carol at the Carnegie Hall
I love their performance; it's elegant but also hilarious. Both of them were really talented.

Julie Andrews and Gene Kelly - Tapping Game
This short film always makes me watch The Sound Of Music and Singing In The Rain again. Those two musical films are classic.

Mama Cass Elliot and Julie Andrews
The sound quality isn't good, but their voices still linger in my mind. I often hum the songs they sang. I wish there is a DVD of their performance available.

The Who - The Kids Are Alright

I was too young to be there. Thanks to those who share the music videos online. I love them very much.
